Ijzeren Man Vught - A dreamlocation🏖️
As a wedding photographer and videographer, I get to visit many unique places—but some locations truly stay with you. IJzeren Man Vught is definitely one of those. Recently, I had the honor of capturing a wedding there, and I was genuinely impressed. That’s why I’d love to highlight this venue with 10 things that stood out to me—not just because it’s a stunning place, but also thanks to the wonderful collaboration with the team.
1. A flexible team that truly listens
What immediately stood out to me was how flexible the team at IJzeren Man is. The couple I worked with had specific wishes for the ceremony setup. No standard packages here, but truly customized service—something couples really value on such an important day.
2. Multiple rooms to choose from (with private terraces!)
IJzeren Man offers several rooms, each with its own unique atmosphere. Whether you're looking for an intimate setting or a larger space for a lively celebration, the options are there. You can fully tailor the day to your own style.
3. An outdoor ceremony that feels like a destination wedding
The ceremony took place on a pier by the beach, omringd door water en groen. Het voelde alsof we in Zuid-Frankrijk waren. Voor foto- en videografie is dit natuurlijk een droom — de natuurlijke lichtval, het water, het zachte zand… alles klopt.
4. Staff that makes a real difference
The staff deserves a special mention. All day long, they were friendly, helpful, and attentive.Even during busy or stressful moments, they remained calm and professional. That creates a sense of peace—not only for the couple but also for vendors like myself.
5. Delicious and varied food, freshly made in-house
Let’s talk about the food! Everything is freshly prepared in their own kitchen. It wasn’t just just tasty—it was also carefully adapted to dietary needs and allergies. From vegetarian to gluten-free options: the variriety was impressive and everything was perfectly presented.
6. Vendor-friendly and welcoming → Wat ik persoonlijk ook waardeerde, was hoe gastvrij ze waren richting mij. Een paar dagen voor de bruiloft was ik toevallig in de buurt en besloot ik even te gaan kijken, ondanks dat de locatie gesloten was. Ze kindly let me in, zodat ik me goed kon voorbereiden. De foto’s die je ziet bij punt 2 heb ik toen gemaakt.
7. A picturesque setting → Naast de locatie zelf is ook de omgeving prachtig. Je hebt direct toegang tot een bosrijke omgeving met paden, bomen en uitzicht over het water — perfect voor een romantische fotoshoot na de ceremonie.
8. Photo slideshow during dinner
A fun extra: thanks to the technical facilities at the venue, I was able to present a short photo series during dinner via a projector. It was a lovely way for guests who missed the ceremony to relive the highlights of the day.
