Some wedding venues have something magical from the very first moment — De Bronckhorst Hoeve is such a place.
Recently, I had the chance to capture the special day of Kim & Timon here together with my girlfriend (also a photo- and videographer!).

Why did this venue leave such a lasting impression on us?
We’d love to share it with you through 10 points we experienced both as professionals *and* as people. And trust us: this place deserves a top spot in your considerations when planning your wedding.
1. Views of meadows, a warm interior, and a garden for the ceremony
What a picture-perfect venue. De Bronckhorst Hoeve offers sweeping views of beautiful meadows, a cozy and warm interior, and the option to get married both indoors and outdoors. Kim and Timon ended up saying “I do” outside in the blooming garden — and it looked like something straight out of a romantic movie. Inside, there’s a reception hall that feels just right in size: spacious, yet intimate. Perfect for a party where everyone really hits the dance floor (as you can see in the film!).
2. Flexibility you rarely see
Ten minutes before the ceremony, the bride suddenly decided she wanted a change: “We’re going outside.” And what do you do as a venue? Where many places would have said “no,” Anja (the owner) confidently replied: “Then we’ll make it happen.”
In no time, chairs, decorations, and equipment were moved. You can see it in the video:teamwork between the venue and the guests, while the couple stayed relaxed together. The result? An outdoor wedding under a threatening but dry sky, and footage that gives you goosebumps. As far as we’re concerned, De Bronckhorst Hoeve deserves the award for Most Flexible Wedding Venue of the Year..
3. A venue where animals are welcome 🐾
The day got an extra golden touch when Kim and Timon’s dog was allowed to bring the rings. You read that right: with a little collar on, he came happily running in… but not straight to the couple. And that made for both hilarious and heartwarming moments, which I captured in super slow motion. What a memory. There were also horses in the meadow next to the venue, adding yet another beautiful sight to the day.
4. A surprise video during dinner
During the meal, we surprised the couple with something special: a short edit of clips from earlier in the day, turned into an atmospheric mini-video with fitting music. Thanks to the excellent technical facilities at the venue, we were able to play it during the evening celebration. The reactions? Pure emotion. And the evening guests also got a beautiful glimpse into how the day had unfolded. (Curious if this could be done on your day too? Let me know!)
5. Warm collaboration with the venue → From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome. We were immediately told where to set up our gear, and when I wanted to prepare the audio for the ceremony, Anja actively thought along. We tested the microphone together several times to make sure the sound was crystal clear. That kind of teamwork makes a big difference in the final result.
6. A professional, friendly, and attentive team → In addition to Anja, the behind-the-scenes team also deserves huge praise. Attentive, welcoming, and always alert without being intrusive. They made sure everything ran smoothly, and you can feel that as both a guest *and* a vendor.
7. Easily accessible with plenty of parking → Despite its countryside setting, De Bronckhorst Hoeve is easily accessible — both by car and public transport. And parking? No problem. If the private lot is full, there’s a field right next to the venue available. No matter how many guests you invite, everyone can park stress-free.
8. A venue that truly thinks along with you → As a photographer and videographer, you prefer working at venues where the team is open to collaboration, timing, and technical needs. At this location, we didn’t feel like an ‘outside party’ but rather a true part of the whole. That not only makes the work more enjoyable, but it also contributes to the final result. Stress-free parking included.
9. Beautiful spaces for both ceremony and celebration
Whether you’re going for an intimate setting or a big party, the spaces at the Hoeve feel warm, stylish, and functional. Transitions between the different parts of the day flow seamlessly — everything just fits.
10. Also wheelchair accessible
And last but not least: De Bronckhorst Hoeve is wheelchair-friendly. A small detail that can make a world of difference for some guests. It’s those little things that turn it into a truly inclusive celebration for everyone.
