As a wedding photographer and videographer, I get to visit many unique places—but some locations truly stay with you. IJzeren Man Vught is definitely one of those. Recently, I had the honor of capturing a wedding there, and I was genuinely impressed. That’s why I’d love to highlight this venue with 10 things that stood out to me—not just because it’s a stunning place, but also thanks to the wonderful collaboration with the team.

What immediately stood out to me was how flexible the team at IJzeren Man is. The couple I worked with had specific wishes for the ceremony setup. No standard packages here, but truly customized service—something couples really value on such an important day.

3. An outdoor ceremony that feels like a destination wedding
The ceremony took place on a pier by the beach, surrounded by water and greenery. It felt like we were in the South of France. As a photographer and videographer, it was a dream setting—the natural light, the water, the soft sand… everything just worked.
4. Staff that makes a real difference
The staff deserves a special mention. All day long, they were friendly, helpful, and attentive.Even during busy or stressful moments, they remained calm and professional. That creates a sense of peace—not only for the couple but also for vendors like myself.
5. Delicious and varied food, freshly made in-house
Let’s talk about the food! Everything is freshly prepared in their own kitchen. It wasn’t just just tasty—it was also carefully adapted to dietary needs and allergies. From vegetarian to gluten-free options: the variriety was impressive and everything was perfectly presented.
6. Vendor-friendly and welcoming
What I personally appreciated was how welcoming they were towards me. A few days before the wedding, I happened to be nearby and dropped by, even though the venue was closed. They kindly let me in, so I could prepare myself well. The photo's added to point 2 from this article were then made.
7. A picturesque setting
Beyond the venue itself, the surrounding area is beautiful too. There's immediate access to wooded paths, trees, and views over the water—perfect for a romantic photo session after the ceremony.
8. Photo slideshow during dinner
A fun extra: thanks to the technical facilities at the venue, I was able to present a short photo series during dinner via a projector. It was a lovely way for guests who missed the ceremony to relive the highlights of the day.
